welcome to our blog!

This blog tells the story of our 22-month sailing journey from Oakland, California, to Bristol, Rhode Island, aboard our beloved Bristol 32 sailboat, Ute. Please feel free to browse through the archives (partway down the sidebar to your left) to see pics and read stories of our adventures in North America and Central America . (Sorry the first 3 months of the trip are missing - they vanished somewhere in an internet cafe in Mexico - but all you're missing is CA, Baja and Western Mex).

If you're trying to track us down now that we're landlubbers, try us at uteatlarge at yahoo dot com. Thanks!

brain cramp - ah pswds - ugh. Nice to see the pics - wrote more before-could not get them to send. Hope to see conch shells in the north- how many will the boat hold? DC with Marcelle was fun - poking around, walking around, book club with fun women - pampered. May hurricane season be late. fair winds, following seas. hugs nmc

halyard end work looks fun and a little scary. Assume it is fixed. Still like the conch - what a beautiful shell. Have Skye's cats - yes, it does make me want to have something there to purr and need my attention. On the other hand, life is simple and I can just go when and where I want to without expense of care taking. Love you both. Hi Danny, again. back to school on Monday - oh time is flying. Yes, I want a vacation like you are having - it is a wonderful thing to see you both working together and smiling. hugs nmc

peculiar - the time on this note says 10:46 pm May 4th, it is really 12:45 am here - so what time is this blog on? Ah, stupidity is alive and well. nmc
