welcome to our blog!
This blog tells the story of our 22-month sailing journey from Oakland, California, to Bristol, Rhode Island, aboard our beloved Bristol 32 sailboat, Ute. Please feel free to browse through the archives (partway down the sidebar to your left) to see pics and read stories of our adventures in North America and Central America . (Sorry the first 3 months of the trip are missing - they vanished somewhere in an internet cafe in Mexico - but all you're missing is CA, Baja and Western Mex).
If you're trying to track us down now that we're landlubbers, try us at uteatlarge at yahoo dot com. Thanks!

Wow, the views are gorgeous. Love all the pictures.
Wait!
I think I see a great race track for setting speed records.

Did you meet a ranger named Eric? He was an intern at Muir Woods when I was at the Headlands!

I didn't realize horseshoe crabs got that big. That's insane looking. Maybe the heat got to me too. Through the internet.
thanks for all the great photos, and thanks to Allen for finally telling the story of the tranny lightning. Jeff is happy now! (But I cried when Allen said how much he loved Cora. ;(
Keep at it crew. We miss ya.

Allen and Cora, I'm amazed by your adventures. I want you by our side whenever there's anything scary, or beautiful, or fun to eat! You guys are the best.
Love, Deb Carey
